Adopt-A-Wish® Lets You Change a Life

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of South Dakota grants over 50 - 60 wishes each year, and that number is expected to grow. Like children, wishes come in all shapes and sizes, from Disney vacations to spending time with a favorite celebrity.

You can help make a special child's wish come true. Through the Adopt-A-Wish® program, your group can team up to raise funds for one child's wish. Any group can become Adopt-A-Wish® partners: companies, church or civic groups, unions, colleges, clubs - any group of individuals who want to work together for a common goal.

The Minnehaha Country Club wait staff donated their tip money and raised enough money to Adopt-A-Wish.

How Wish Adoption Works

The program is simple and fun. Your group decides how it wants to raise funds, and with the help of Make-A-Wish®, you'll select a wish to adopt. If you need suggestions for fundraising activities or events, we can help with that, too. As your project proceeds, your group handles the funds. Once the wish is adopted and the actual arrangements for the wish get under way, you forward the funds to Make-A-Wish®.

Adopt-A-Wish® & Make Lasting Memories

Your Adopt-A-Wish® support offers a child welcome relief from the treatments, hospitals, anxiety and fear that are so much a part of facing a life-threatening medical condition. You can help a child have a happy, hopeful time with family, a time to create lasting memories that will help them through difficult times. It's a gift of a lifetime!
